Partition of Europe A History from 1715 to 1815

history, news, politics, science, social · EN

Philip Guedalla famously remarked, History is the most interesting part of geography, and this is especially true for European history, which is intricately tied to the continents shifting borders. From the Peace of Utrecht in 1713 to the Congress of Vienna in 1815, Europe underwent a relentless cycle of partition and re-partition driven by war. Frederick the Great forged Prussia at Austrias expense, Catherine the Great expanded her empire into Ukraine, and the upheaval in France culminated in Napoleons dramatic reconfiguration of the European map. Join us as we explore this tumultuous era through the insights of Pamela Nagami, M.D. This show includes AI-generated content.
