The Neighborhood

society, culture · EN

In Will Campbell’s The Glad River, three men—Doops, Kingston, and Model T—meet in basic training before heading to the Pacific in World War II. They form a close bond, calling themselves “the neighborhood,” a small community of care, concern, and love that shapes their lives far beyond the war. Their neighborhood serves as a metaphor for how human relationships should be—supportive and compassionate. The Neighborhood Podcast aims to reflect that spirit, offering connection in a divided world. So we hope you will join us as we strive to be our own community of care and concern for all people.
