Woman and the New Race

history, science, social, news, politics · EN

Margaret Sanger, a pioneering American sex educator and nurse, emerged as a leading advocate for birth control, famously facing imprisonment for importing illegal contraceptives into the United States. In Woman and the New Race, she passionately argues that controlling population size can liberate women from the constraints of involuntary motherhood and ultimately uplift society as a whole. Sangers work intricately weaves together the early fight for birth control with the labor and Eugenics movements, shedding light on a largely forgotten yet tumultuous chapter of American history. Join us as we explore Sangers powerful insights and the profound implications of her vision. (Summary by Becky) This show includes AI-generated content.
