music, commentary, interviews · EN

“I’ve found you’ve got to look back at the old things and see them in a new light.”— John ColtraneWith candor, soul, and just the right dose of nerdiness, host Angélika Beener along with special guests celebrate landmark moments for the culture through deep dive conversational retrospectives of music, artists, authors and more.Angélika recorded her first interview in 1988 while still in elementary school. Her interview subjects were her loving grandparents who happily engaged her as she delved into their rich stories. Since then, Angélika has taken her predilection for history, culture, heritage, and the arts, and synthesized these passions in all areas of her work as a DJ, producer, director, and award-winning journalist.
