religion, spirituality, christianity · EN

Delve into the rich theological landscape crafted by Parley P. Pratt, a key figure in the early days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Originally published in 1855, Key to the Science of Theology stands as a foundational text in Mormon thought. Pratt navigates a broad spectrum of theological themes, starting with a spiritual history of the Jews and Gentiles and their evolving relationship with God. He then ventures into the unique cosmology of the Latter-day Saints. Drawing extensively from the scriptures—both the Old and New Testaments, as well as LDS revelations—Pratt seeks to engage a diverse audience. Central to his message is the belief in a loving, personal God who plays an active role in the lives of His children. He underscores the significance of faith, repentance, and adherence to divine commandments as essential pathways to salvation and exaltation. Summary by James Bleckley
