Sound of Mind

What's actually happening when a song moves you to tears? Why can a melody bring back a person, a place, or an entire chapter of your life in an instant? And why do some artists seem to tap into something bigger than themselves?Sound of Mind is a podcast about consciousness, explored through the universal language of music. Hosts Michelle Courtright and Amanda Kelso sit down with musicians, artists, scientists, and seekers to explore the space between the measurable and the mysterious — where creativity comes from, how music changes our inner state, what grief and love do to us, and what it means to stay open to the things we can't quite explain.Michelle comes from the world of creative direction, food, and social impact. Amanda's background is in technology, culture, and storytelling. What connects them is a shared curiosity about the questions that sit just beyond easy answers — and a belief that music is one of the most reliable doorways we have into them.New episodes regularl
