fiction, drama · EN-US

What if Columbus never returned from America? In 1492, Christopher Columbus reaches the shores of Turtle Island, but his attempt at conquest ends in blood and fire. His ships are destroyed, his crews are killed, and Columbus never returns to Europe to tell of the lands he found. In response, the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island unite against the threat from across the Great Salt Sea. Over the centuries that follow, their nations grow powerful, their cities flourish, and their cultures evolve largely free from European influence.By the early twentieth century, Turtle Island is a vast continent of independent Indigenous nations, connected by railroads and telegraph lines but still largely closed to outsiders.Into this world comes Professor Ashdown, an English academic whose journey into the continent draws him into a mystery involving ancient artifacts, Indigenous spirituality, experimental science, and forces capable of altering history itself.Professor Ashdown's Adventures on Tur
