Mark Twains Autobiography - Volume I

Dive into the unfiltered world of Mark Twain with his Autobiography - Volume I, a remarkable collection released in 1924, fourteen years after his passing. While the Mark Twain Project has produced a three-volume version with extensive annotations, this two-volume edition presents a side of Twain that was previously hidden. Speaking from the grave, Twain felt liberated to express his thoughts with a candidness akin to a love letter. Unlike his earlier autobiographical essays published in the North American Review, which were crafted for public acceptance, this work reveals a more honest and unrestrained Twain. Compiled by his close friend and literary executor, Albert Bigelow Paine, this collection encompasses two-fifths of Twains known material, offering readers an intimate glimpse into the great authors mind. - Summary by John Greenman and Wikipedia This show includes AI-generated content.
