Sexy Jesus explores the intersection of American Christian identity, culture, and politics from a Humanist perspective. This light hearted leftist show takes on the Christiest of topics through deep-dives, interviews, movie nights, and listener horror stories. From purity culture to far right politics, we talk about the dark side of Christian Nationalism while keeping it light. If you're an Ex-vangelical looking to process the world you left behind or you're darkly curious about the radical culture that spawned our political moment, welcome. Your dad's gonna hate it here, but you're gonna love it. Sexy Jesus is hosted by Dr. Victoria Houser, author and scholar of Evangelical Purity Culture, and Sean McGrath, filmmaker, musician, and curious White guy.
